I'm just settling down to an Epic Copper Cone IPA and reflecting on the past couple of weeks.
Despite spending the first week of April working in Vegas and running a mere three miles, things have turned around really well. As I've already written; I followed on the Vegas trip with a super fun trip to Moab
with Kiva and claimed my first ever win in a trail race.
With the nicer weather I've tried to go exploring some higher elevations, some entirely new trails
and some routes that I've not been on in a while. I had a great time out west exploring a new trail
(for me anyways) with Dan last weekend, then this past week I made it up to the Millcreek/Parleys
ridge twice and up around Big Mountain and Mormon trail areas several times.
Hell I even managed to get Kiva out for a few mellow trail runs!
Anyways, nothing earth shattering, just wanna dump a few photos.
Pipeline seen from Deso#19. Hopefully this is the last of this.
Salt Lake Overlook, looking wet.
Dan out where the buffaloes roam
Ochirs, Standbury's, not a bad place to chill mid-run.
Out west there are some fine vistas.
This young fella was trying to chill and I woke him (twice).
Last long run of April following center ridge from Parleys to Big Mtn
Big Mtn (lookers right) Lookout Peak (lookers left)
Mile 18, signs say no swimming. I reluctantly obeyed.
Alexander Basin, Gobblers, Porter, Mount Aire, Grandeur, Ochirs
Nice view, despite four miles of heinous postholing
9K' after work and no postholing!
Found this gem of a trail and it has some sweet fish'n holes!
Freaky old bus with a stove
